Ten Years ago, in the February of 1999, Performance additives arrived in Malaysia!

Today, we do not only want to commemorate this point in time, but also the flawless record of our manufacturing operations and the outstanding efforts and achievements of our team.

Ten years ago, Performance Additives started out with a handful of people and we are proud to say that most of them are still part of our world class team!

When we started in 1999, we looked at an empty building and a plain concrete floor. Today, this site is not only home to a first class manufacturing operation for rubber and plastics process chemicals, but also a state of the art application laboratory and technical centre to serve the needs of our worldwide clientele.

Performance Additives’ choice of Malaysia as the base for its operations has proven very successful! Malaysia has been for very long one of the world leading sources for renewable raw materials, e.g. palm oil, one of the base crops for our production process.

Here are some highlights of our success story:

1999 Start of the company

2000 First commercial quantities exported

2001 Full ISO certification

2004 Investment into a 50% increase in production capacity

2008 Addition of new application facilities, technical center

2008 Investment in expanded logistic and storage facilities for raw materials

Even though significant, these markers are only telling part of the story. What really matters are our accomplishments over the past ten years.

We are now exporting 95% of our production worldwide in over 40 countries, growing every year further, thus, contributing to Malaysia’s status as an export nation of very high standards.

We are currently providing jobs for over 50 employees, despite the recent economic downturn.

Through emphasis on R&D, we are continuously providing innovative products for the multi faceted applications in the rubber and plastics industry, but also striving constantly to stay competitive with our standard products.

Our contribution to the environment is a Zero Emission production site, non dusty product forms, recyclable packaging. We are utilizing natural lighting and airflow as much as possible in our facilities and prevent energy loss during our production process by using highly efficient temperature transfer designs and high efficiency appliances.

A further contribution to protecting the environment through renewable resources was the launch of a comprehensive line of products for the Wood Plastic Composite industry in 2008. Needless to say that 90% of the raw materials are from renewable resources.

All these achievements are built on a solid local base of talented people with long expertise in our field of technology; high standard institutes, and investment friendly government policies.

Still, after 10 years of success, our investment in our company and Malaysia remains an ongoing process.

We strongly expect, that our momentum and the demand for our products will continue to grow, pushed by our technical expertise, competitiveness and customer driven innovation!
